The Traverse-
The Enchantment Traverse is one of the most iconic alpine hikes in North America, crossing the heart of Washington's breathtaking Alpine Lakes Wilderness. The classic point-to-point route stretches approximately 18–20 miles (29–32 km) and features 4,500–5,500 feet of elevation gain, including the legendary climb over Aasgard Pass (7,800 ft)—a steep ascent of more than 2,200 feet in less than one mile. Along the way, hikers are rewarded with crystal-clear alpine lakes, polished granite basins carved by ancient glaciers, towering granite peaks, and unforgettable views that make the Enchantments a true bucket-list adventure.
Highlights along the traverse include Colchuck Lake, Aasgard Pass, Isolation Lake, Inspiration Lake, Perfection Lake, Leprechaun Lake, Viviane Lake, and the striking granite spire of Prusik Peak. During the fall, the basin transforms as vibrant golden alpine larches create one of the most spectacular autumn landscapes in the Pacific Northwest. The route is also well known for its abundant mountain goats and pristine wilderness scenery.

As beautiful as Mother Nature is, her power can be unpredictable and dangerous. Be sure you understand the risks and prepare accordingly. And, remember to Leave No Trace.
Note: If your flag has been rolled it may curl up and not lay flat. To remove the curl, roll it the opposite direction momentarily and once unrolled it should lay flat. We highly recommend rolling and not folding your flag to avoid wrinkles.
